Connecting with Military Talent at Fort Riley

On May 12, 2026, VEPO Solutions and the VALOR Program attended the Hiring Our Heroes Career Summit at Fort Riley, Kansas.

The event provided an opportunity to connect directly with transitioning service members and Veteran job seekers, introduce attendees to VEPO Solutions, and discuss our hands on field career opportunities and the continued support available through VALOR.

Hiring Our Heroes Career Summits bring employers and military talent together during an important stage of the transition process. These conversations allow service members to learn more about civilian industries, ask questions, and better understand how their military experience may align with future career paths.

For VEPO VALOR, attending the summit was about more than sharing current openings. It was an opportunity to listen, learn about individual career goals, and begin building relationships with service members preparing for their next mission.

We appreciate Hiring Our Heroes and the Fort Riley community for creating a valuable environment where employers, Veterans, and transitioning service members could connect.

This event also marked Jon’s first in person career event representing VEPO as Recruiting Coordinator, making it an especially meaningful milestone in the continued growth of our VALOR outreach efforts.
